Brought to you by the letter “P”

pToday’s blog is brought to you by the letter “P”.  Why you ask?  Well it is because yesterday was race day to be more specific the Amica Iron Horse Half Marathon in Simsbury, CT (see what cool runnings says about this race here).  A race that not too long ago, I dedicated to my friend Peggy (see here) and of course her name starts with “P”.

So here goes and it is of course brought to you through Pictures (get it, starts with “P”.)  Enjoy!  🙂

For the Pink on my toenails that were decorated before the race. (say what you would like, maybe I had this planned or maybe it is because my only polish is some shade of pink.)

For the Peace after finishing the race. The Peace of mind that I accomplished this task and peace and quiet that my brain had during and after the race (read as: my brain no longer yelling at me for signing up for these races).

For the Pain. I have never run during this type of warm weather and the pain of the leg cramps and the inability to get cool was at times very worrisome.

And finally, for my dear friend Peggy. This race was for her. The hope is that she might be able to run one of these days but until we know more, we will remain hopeful. I will continue to run for her and all those who can’t.
