Janathon 5/31 – Cross Training day

Today was a cross training day.  What that exactly means is that I wander around the gym trying different things and then working up a little sweat and calling it cross training.  Okay that is what it has meant in the past.  I have tried to become more organized in my cross training, this is what it looked like today:

Monday’s are bike days.   30 mins on the bike at a level 9 completing 10.5 miles, then 3 sets of 30 reverse lunges (alternating legs) holding 10lbs in each hand, some bicep and tricep work and then threw in some TRX items that I remembered how to do (mental note: need to make a list of TRX routines and work on this more because it works everything!).

The best part was that every other monday at my gym is free 10 min chair massage.  The lady is getting to know me and goes right for my left

shoulder to torture me, I mean work out those kinks.

Oh yea, Monday is also 1 hour tap class.  That’s right this old woman taps.  I may not be good but I am persistent.  My teacher is a friend of my daughter’s so she is young but she still knows more about tap than me!  I think she likes to see me fall because for the past few weeks it has been work on turns.  I don’t know about you but I get really dizzy when I turn to much and then you add in footwork and I am lost, but I think I am getting it.  We will see.

So the 5th day of Janathon was full of activity and I somehow managed to get in a full days work.  How do I do it?!  (add in a little sarcasm here!)
